Compassionate Conversations: Darlene Cunha
"Double-Duty Caregiver at Home and at Work"
Thursday, April 11th, 2024 @ 12pm PST/ 3pm EST

In this Compassionate Conversation episode, we will come together to gain a better understanding of this challenging experience and explore how we can support those living the doubt-duty caregiver life.

While Darlene has courageously stepped up to share her experience, this double-duty caregiving is not unique to her and is the reality for many healthcare professionals.
Whether you are caring for a child, an aging parent, or a partner at home, you may find yourself burning on both ends.

Would you like to apply to be a guest speaker on Compassionate Conversations?

Compassionate Conversations is a forum to raise awareness about the often invisible challenging experiences we face behind closed doors to cultivate more empathy and compassion in the world. Through the power of storytelling we pull back the curtains on a glimpse of your experience to help others better understand it and replace judgment with compassion.

The other intention of these conversations is to share insights with those that are going through a similar experience to help them journey through with more tools and resources knowing that they are not alone. There is healing power in realizing our shared humanity. While some guests have shared their stories on other platforms, for many this is the first time they are opening up to share a very intimate and vulnerable story.

With that in mind, the forum is intended to give you a safe space to share your heart in the presence of a compassionate witness and community so that you feel like your pain was not in vain and your experience is helping others.
